Sanitize & Prepare:
- Wash hands thoroughly and disinfect your work surface.
- Remove the plastic caps from both the peptide and bacteriostatic water vials and disinfect the rubber stoppers with an alcohol swab.
Prepare the Bacteriostatic Water:
- Draw air into the syringe equal to the amount of water you need (1ml which is 100 units on the needle)
- Inject the air into the water vial (this prevents vacuum).
- Flip the vial and slowly draw 1ml, 100 units, of bacteriostatic water into the syringe.
Add Water to Peptide:
- Hold the peptide vial at an angle or upside down.
- Gently inject the water down the inside wall of the peptide vial to avoid hitting the powder directly, which can damage it.
- Remove the syringe and repeat this process twice more so that you have added 3ml (300 units) to the vial.
Mix the Peptide:
- Gently swirl, tilt, or roll the vial in your hands for several minutes (5-10 mins) until the powder is completely dissolved. DO NOT SHAKE.
- Check for any remaining particles; the solution should be clear.
- If particles remain, you can try gentle roll the vial, or leave it for a few minutes and it should mix itself.
Store & Label:
- Label the vial with the date.
- Reconstituted peptides should be stored in the refrigerator (2-8°C) for optimal stability, for a period of 4-12 weeks. After 12 weeks it must be discarded due to potential bacteria growth and / or degradation.
